Charlotte Osborn

I trained as a Registered General Nurse at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester in 1989, where I then worked as a qualified nurse for several years. I have had many years working in the field of child health and education, within my role as a school nurse.

I completed a doula course with Nurturing Birth in 2008, and now work as a postnatal doula. I have supported many families with twins, and so have gained a lot of experience in this field. I am happy to provide support at nights, and have experience in encouraging babies to sleep better at night. For several years I volunteered at the Ace Centre in Chipping Norton as a breastfeeding peer supporter after having completed their training course.

During my first pregnancy, I felt that I was embarking on a race! This race would be the biggest adventure of my life - motherhood. It's a journey that has been (and still continues to be) exhilarating, frustrating, exciting, rewarding, but at times very scary.

As with any race, the 'start' can make all the difference. I was very fortunate to be surrounded by supportive friends and family who ensured that I 'got off the blocks' to a great start! I'm convinced that this support and encouragement is vital for all new mothers, and that’s why I feel so passionate about providing a doula service that does just that.

I am fully insured and CRB checked. I am a non-smoker and a driver with a current UK driving licence.
